Just saw a commercial, “breaking news is all new tonight at 10!”

As if breaking news would be anything other than new? Isn’t that the intention of breaking?

Can you imagine re-runs of breaking news, like, “Remember when the Casey Anthony trial was breaking news? Well here it is again!”
